To celebrate the start of a new school year, we convened a panel of officials and activists to talk about the state of education in the age of Rahm & Rauner. It was the largest assemblage of talent we’ve ever had on the Hideout stage: Mary Fahey Hughes, southwest side parent activist; state Rep. Rob Martwick; Alderman Proco Joe Moreno and Johnae Strong, Chicago Teacher Union organizer.
On hand to film the event was Chris Buddy, the world’s greatest videographer.
