Ben Joravsky: Braving Chicago’s Snow

Heaps of snow–with more falling–could not stop an intrepid crew of political junkies from marching to The Hideout for the February 3rd edition of First Tuesdays.

That’s the political talk show hosted by Mick Dumke–superstar writer for the Reader–and yours truly on the first Tuesday of each month.

Hence the name!

As usual the show was brilliantly captured by Peter Holderness, Chicago’s greatest videographer.

February’s show was supposed to feature three reporters talking about Chicago’s February 24th municipal elections. But the snow kept two guests–Dan Mihalopoulos of the Sun Times and Peri Small of WVON–from making it.

Let’s give a big round of applause to Jen Sabella, editor from DNAinfo, who braved the elements. Thank goodness cause–that girl is funny!

If you want to watch the whole show, here the link…

If you want to want to watch Jen’s bit about dildos and Chicago politics, check this out…

If you want to watch Jen’s insights into Alderman Danny Solis and dog shit, here you go…

If you want to watch me go out on a limb and predict that Mayor Rahm will wind up in a runoff, watch this…

If I’m wrong on that prediction, I’m going to owe lots of lunches to lots of different people.

Don’t forget the next show…
